On Saturday, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi spoke on the phone with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on bilateral relations and the regional situation.
Foreign Minister Qureshi said that during his recent travel to Russia as part of the Prime Minister’s team, the two sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and in the region, including Afghanistan.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his sympathies for the victims of the terrorist assault on a mosque in Peshawar on March 4, and reiterated Russia’s denunciation of all kinds of terrorism.
