After Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry made a speech on outstanding tax cases in the courts, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Athar Minallah called a high-level meeting.
A letter has been written to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and Attorney General of Pakistan Khalid Javain Khan inviting them to attend the high-level meeting with Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah on February 22.
A letter has also been issued to the Chairman of the Competitive Commission and the Chairman of the OGRA, inviting them to attend the meeting. The Registrar’s Office in Islamabad sent the letters, and information of tax cases pending in the High Court were also requested.
Fawad Ch, on the other side, praised the IHC’s decision to have a full court hearing on Twitter.
“The government, judiciary, and other institutions stand together for the nation’s progress and prosperity,” he said on Twitter.
