RAWALPINDI (Channel News Pakistan) – The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday that security forces had effectively neutralised 22 terrorists during an intelligence-led operation in Dera Ismail Khan.

The operation targeted elements identified as members of the Indian-sponsored proxy terrorist organization Khawarij, who were organizing terrorism in the nation.

The ISPR reported that the operation was based on exact intelligence inputs and resulted in the death of all 22 terrorists without allowing any to flee the scene. It further said that these forces had foreign support and were actively striving to destabilize national peace and security.

Authorities acknowledged that a clearance operation was being carried out in the surrounding regions to eradicate any lingering threat and prevent hostile forces from rejoining. Security forces and law enforcement organizations confirmed their determination to carrying out the countrywide counterterrorism effort.

The ISPR highlighted that the mission illustrates Pakistan’s willingness to remove terrorism and foreign-backed networks attempting to destabilize the country.
