LAHORE – Today (Friday), the country celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with typical passion and devotion, repeating their promise to reform their lives in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provinces.

Special prayers were performed at mosques for the preservation and prosperity of Islam, as well as for the unity, solidarity, progress, and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.

To commemorate the yearly religious festival, a variety of activities, including processions, seminars, conferences, and debate programs, will be held around the country.

On this day, the government has declared a national holiday. Processions will be held in all small and large cities, with replicas of the sacred Kaaba and the Gumbad-e-Khizra (green dome) carried.
