GUJRANWALA – According to the authorities, three people, including a newlywed couple, were slain in this city’s Dahlay police district on Thursday because of a love marriage.

Authorities said that the girl’s father, the accused Ashraf, invited his daughter, son-in-law, and mother to his house for peace.

He and his other relatives fired fire as they arrived at his home, instantly murdering them, then fled.

The victims were identified as Abbas, Liba, and Shama.

A few days prior, the couple had decided to get married in a love marriage, but the girl’s father disapproved.
On the day of the incident, the accused and his fellow conspirators came up with a plan to murder them.
