RAWALPINDI (Reuters) – The trial of the cipher case was deferred on Tuesday by a special court constituted under the Official Secrets Act until November 23 without any proceedings.

The hearing in the cipher case against PTI chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi took place inside Adiala Jail. They came before Judge Abual Hasnaat Zulqarnain, who deferred the hearing since the Islamabad High Court granted a stay owing to the PTI chief’s intra-court appeal.

Former first lady Bushra Bibi, the sisters of the PTI chairman, and Qureshi’s daughter were all present at Adiala Jail.

It should be noted that the matter was previously postponed without any proceedings.
