ISLAMABAD – On the request of his attorney Hamid Khan, the PTI chief’s plea against his indictment in the cipher case was postponed till sine die by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday.
In order to examine the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) ruling, which was released on Tuesday and declared the notification of August 29 null and unlawful, Advocate Khan asked the court to provide him some time.
The three-member bench’s chief justice, justice Sardar Tariq Masood, stated that the supreme court can still move on in spite of the IHC’s ruling.
He informed the attorney that he may appeal the IHC ruling once more. Judge Masood declared that this matter will now be heard in turn and delayed the hearing indefinitely.
Parties on PTI Chief’s bail plea in the Cipher case receive notices from SC.
The Supreme Court (SC) postponed the case’s hearing on Wednesday after sending notifications to the parties over the PTI chief’s bail request in the cipher case.
A three-judge Supreme Court bench led by Justice Sardar Tariq Masood heard the PTI chairman’s bail request in a cipher case. Justices Yahya Afridi and Ayesha Malik round out the bench.
