RAWALPINDI — Former PTI chairman Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be indicted in the cipher case on December 12.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Special Court established under the Official Secrets Act, who heard the case in Adiala Jail here on Monday, informed the accused that the case will be determined at a month on the high court’s instruction.
The copies of the case were given to the former chairman and ex-foreign minister Qureshi, who were brought before the court. They were judged to be guilty in the case.
It should be noted that the trial was held in Adiala Jail despite the Islamabad High Court’s ruling for an open trial, citing security risks to the former PTI chairman. During the last hearing, the Interior Ministry issued a notification that a trial will be held in the jail.
