KARACHI — Police claim to have apprehended a gang of phone snatchers after tracing down three of its members here.
After receiving information regarding the presence of outlaws in Awami Colony, police stormed a hideout and detained three gang members.
Under the cover of darkness, their three accomplices escaped. Police conducted repeated raids to apprehend the fleeing criminals.
Police stated they collected 100 cell phones from the detained gang members. The suspects were implicated in a slew of mobile phone thefts.
The bandits would steal mobile phones from bystanders, especially ladies at night.
A case has been filed against the criminals.
The arrest of the criminals, according the police, would assist minimize mobile phone snatching cases in Karachi.
