LAHORE: The nomination papers for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder from Lahore and Mianwali were rejected.

PML-N leader Mian Naseer has objected to Imran Khan’s nomination from Lahore’s NA-122 seat.

Mian Naseer protested that the proposer and supporter of the founding PTI is not from NA 122, is also disqualified in the Toshakhana case, and hence cannot vote in the election.

Yesterday, the Returning Officer (RO) reserved a ruling on the objection on the nomination papers, which was announced today. According to the RO, PTI founder and chairman Imran Khan has been convicted.

Nomination papers for PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq were approved by NA-122, as were nomination papers for PTI leader Lateef Khosa and Azhar Sadiq Advocate.

On the other side, the nomination papers of the PTI’s founder were also rejected from NA-89 Mianwali.
The nomination of founding PTI documents was challenged by Khurram Rokhri and Khalil ur Rehman. According to the petitions, the PTI founder was convicted and so disqualified.
