Lahore – The government on Sunday raised the price of petrol by Rs7.45 per litre and that of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs9.56 per litre for the next two weeks.
The petitioner, Azhar Siddique of the Judicial Activism Panel, argued that while POL prices had significantly decreased in the international market, the benefit had not been passed on to Pakistani consumers.
The petitioner requested that the court stop the implementation of the new prices.
