ISLAMABAD: A five-member committee was formed by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday in order to start negotiations with the Jamiat-Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F).

The reports claim that Barrister Gohar, the PTI chairman, will head the committee. The group will also include former NA speaker Asad Qaiser, opposition leader in the Senate Shibli Faraz, opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan, and party spokeswoman Raoof Hassan.

The decision was made in response to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F, telling the media earlier that the PTI had not yet disclosed the names of the committee members who would be conducting talks with the JUI-F to create a larger opposition coalition against the government.
