A hearing has been scheduled for the Islamabad High Court lawsuit filed by imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan challenging his denial of meetings and talks with party officials and attorneys.

After considering Khan’s request on Wednesday, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq eliminated the Registrar’s Office’s objections and scheduled a hearing for the petition.

When questioned how a major and a colonel could be declared parties, PTI founding attorney Shoaib Shaheen told the court during the proceedings that his client had included the Defence Ministry as a respondent in the petition.

The court then scheduled the hearing on Thursday (tomorrow).
