SRINAGAR: Today (Monday) marks the eighth anniversary of the young freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani’s martyrdom. Kashmiris across the Line of Control and around the world are commemorating this day with a renewed commitment to carrying out the martyrs’ mission.

Masarat Alam Butt, the Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference who is illegally detained, has honoured Shaheed Burhan Wani and his companions on the anniversary of their martyrdom.

In his letter on the anniversary of Burhan Wani’s martyrdom from Tihar Jail, he urged Kashmiris to plan protests, lectures, and other events in honour of Wani and his friends, who sacrificed their lives to light the candle of Kashmir’s freedom movement.
