Outside the Butler Farm Show grounds, Thomas Crooks was pacing beside a warehouse building while people gathered for one of the former president Donald Trump’s famous outdoor rallies.

Law enforcement had already taken notice of Thomas Crooks as suspect. He was belly crawling on the roof when two police officers came over to investigate.

About 400 feet away, Crooks, a quiet twenty-year-old computer wiz who had just been accepted into a college engineering program, turned back to his target. He fired multiple shots at Trump, cutting the former president’s ear, killing one audience member, and injuring two more before being assassinated by Secret Service snipers from a nearby building.
