MUZAFFARABAD: On the occasion of Pakistan Day, which falls on Friday, Kashmiris in Azad Jammu and Kashmir will stage demonstrations and seminars to draw attention to the human rights violations and the state of the people in the Indian-occupied valley (today).
On this day, Kashmiris around the world reaffirm their commitment to carrying on the fight for their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions. At a meeting of the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar on July 19, 1947, a resolution pertaining to Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan was unanimously approved by legitimate representatives of the Kashmiri people.
