LAHORE: On Thursday, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the vice chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former foreign minister, was moved from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
The PTI leader who is now detained is expected to appear before the anti-terrorism court at Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, according to reports.
According to sources, Shah Mehmood Qureshi is the target of proceedings being heard in Lahore regarding the May 9 unrest. He will be returned to Adiala Jail following his court hearing over anti-terrorism.
It is important to note that Shah Mehmood Qureshi was accused on July 15 by a Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court in connection with the Shadman police station attack case involving the May 9 riots.
