ISLAMABAD – The federal government announced on Wednesday a considerable fall in petroleum prices for the first two weeks of August 2024.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance, prices were decreased after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved them.

The revised prices will go into effect on August 1.

The petrol price was reduced by Rs6.17 per litre, with the new price set at Rs269.43. The price of high-speed fuel has dropped by Rs10.86 to Rs272.77.

Similarly, the price of light speed diesel dropped by Rs5.72 to Rs160.53 per liter.

The price of kerosene oil fell by Rs6.32 to Rs177.39 per litre during the first half of August.
