LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has received a miscellaneous appeal asking for a fast hearing of a suit challenging the NAB Amendment Ordinance.

The LHC received a petition against the NAB ordinance from attorney Azhar Siddique.

The remand time for accused people has been extended from 14 to 40 days, as the applicant stated in their plea.

The petitioner said that the amendment targeted evil schemes and that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was being targeted and hurt.

In his application, the petitioner asked the court to deem the NAB Amendment Ordinance invalid.
