RAWALPINDI: The remaining 60 prisoners in the May 9 riots, which broke out last year after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was arrested in a fraud case, have been sentenced by the Field General Court Martial (FGCM).
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the penalties imposed on May 9 were given in consideration of the Supreme Court’s ruling.
According to the statement, the penalties were declared following a review of all available evidence, guaranteeing the convicted individuals’ full legal rights, the fulfillment of due process, and the proper legal procedures.
List of People Found Guilty by Military Courts:
- Hassan Khan Niazi, son of Hafizullah Niazi, was incarcerated for ten years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Jinnah House incident.
- The Jinnah House incident featured Mian Abbad Farooq, son of Amanat Ali, who was imprisoned for two years.
- Raees Ahmed, son of Shafi Ullah, was incarcerated for six years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Jinnah House incident.
- Arzam Junaid, s/o Junaid Razzaq, was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and was sentenced to six years of harsh jail.
- Ali Raza, s/o Ghulam Mustafa, was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and was sentenced to six years of hard labor.
- Raj Danish s/o Raja Abdul Waheed, who was engaged in the GHQ assault event, was sentenced to four years of hard jail.
- Syed Hassan Shah, son of Asif Hussain Shah, was incarcerated for nine years in a strict jail for his involvement in the GHQ attack.
- Ali Hussain s/o Khalil ur Rehman, who was engaged in the AIMH Rawalpindi assault event, was sentenced to seven years of severe jail.
- Zahid Khan, son of Muhammad Nabi, was involved in the PRC Mardan incident and was imprisoned for two years.
- Sohrab Khan, son of Riaz Khan, was incarcerated for four years in a strict jail for his involvement in the HQ Dir Scouts Timergara incident.
- Brig (Retd) Javed Akram, son of Chaudhary Muhammad Akarm, was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and was imprisoned for six years.
- For his role in the Multan Cantt Checkpost incident, Khuram Liaqat, son of Liaqat Ali Shahid, was imprisoned for four years.
- Shah Faisal’s son Zakir Hussain, who was engaged in the Chakdara Fort incident, was sentenced to seven years of hard labor.
- Ameen Shah, son of Mashter Khan, was incarcerated for nine years in a strict jail for her involvement in the Bannu Cantt incident.
- Muhammad Khan’s son Fahim Sajid, who was engaged in the PAF Base Mianwali incident, was imprisoned for eight years.
- Hamza Sharif, son of Muhammad Azam, was engaged in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to two years of severe jail.
- Muhammad Arslan, son of Muhammad Siraj, who was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and sentenced to seven years of hard labor.
- Muhammad Umair, son of Abdul Sattar, who was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and sentenced to six years of hard labor.
- Noman Shah, the son of Mehmood Ahmad Shah, was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and was imprisoned for four years.
- Ikram Ullah, s/o Khanzada Khan, was involved in the Bannu Cantt incident and was sentenced to nine years of hard labor.
- Muhammad Ahmed s/o Muhammad Nazir, who was engaged in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident and served two years of harsh jail.
- For his role in the Multan Cantt Checkpost incident, Pirzada Mian Muhammad Ishaq Bhutta, son of Pirzada Mian Qamar ud Dind Bhutta, was imprisoned for three years.
- Muhammad Abdullah, son of Kanwar Ashraf Khan, was part in the GHQ attack and was imprisoned for four years.
- Amjad Ali, s/o Manzoor Ahmed, was involved in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to two years of harsh jail.
- Muhammad Raheem, son of Naeem Khan, was incarcerated for six years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Jinnah House incident.
- Mueeb Ahmed, son of Naveed Ahmed Butt, was incarcerated for two years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident.
- Muhammad Ali, s/o Muhammad Boota, was engaged in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to two years of harsh jail.
- Sami Ullah, son of Meer Dad Khan, was incarcerated for two years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Bannu Cantt incident.
- Mian Muhammad Akram Usman, son of Mian Muhammad Usman, was involved in the Jinnah House incident and was imprisoned for two years.
- Mudassir Hafiz, son of Hafeez Ullah, was incarcerated for six years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Jinnah House incident.
- Muhammad Iqbal’s son Sajjad Ahmed, who was engaged in the Jinnah House incident, was imprisoned for four years.
- Khizar Hayat, s/o Umar Qiyaz Khan, was involved in the Bannu Cantt incident and was sentenced to nine years of hard imprisonment.
- Muhammad Nawaz, s/o Abdul Samad, was engaged in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident and was sentenced to two years of hard jail.

- 37.Asad Ullah Durani, son of Badshah Zada, was incarcerated for four years in a strict jail for his involvement in the HQ Dir Scouts Timergara incident.
- Ikram Ullah, s/o Shah Zaman, was involved in the Chakdara Fort incident and was sentenced to four years of hard labor.
- Muhammad Farrukh, son of Shams Tabriz, was engaged in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to five years of severe jail.
- Muhammad Ashraf’s son Waqas Ali, who was engaged in the Jinnah House incident, was imprisoned for six years.
- Ameer Zohaib s/o Nazeer Ahmed Sheikh, who was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and received four years of harsh jail.
- Farhad Khan, son of Shahid Hussain, was incarcerated for seven years in a strict jail for his involvement in the AIMH Rawalpindi incident.
- Izzat Khan, son of Awal Khan, was engaged in the HQ Dir Scouts Timergara incident and was sentenced to two years of severe jail.
- 44.Asher Butt, son of Muhammad Arshad Butt, was engaged in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident and was sentenced to two years of hard labor.
- Saqlain Haider s/o Rafiullah Khan, who was involved in the Bannu Cantt incident and received nine years of harsh imprisonment.
- Muhammad Salman, son of Zahid Nisar, was engaged in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to two years of harsh jail.
- Hamid Ali, son of Syed Hadi Shah, was incarcerated for three years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Multan Cantt Checkpost incident.
- Muhammad Waqas, s/o Malik Muhammad Khalil, was involved in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident and was sentenced to two years of hard labor.
- Involved in the Bannu Cantt incident, Izzat Gul, son of Mirdat Khan, was imprisoned for nine years.
- 50.Haider Majeed, s/o Muhammad Majeed, was involved in the Jinnah House incident and was sentenced to two years of hard labor.
- 51.GP Capt. Viqas Ahmed Mohsin (Retd), son of Bashir Ahmed Mohsin, was engaged in the Jinnah House incident and served two years of severe jail.
- Muhammad Ilyas, son of Muhammad Fazal Haleem, was engaged in the HQ Dir Scouts Timergara incident and was sentenced to two years of harsh jail.
- Muhammad Ayaz, s/o Sahibzada Khan, was engaged in the Main Gate FC Cantt Peshawar incident and was sentenced to two years of harsh jail.
- Raees Ahmed, son of Khaista Rehman, was incarcerated for four years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Chakdara Fort incident.
- Gohar Rehman, son of Gul Rehman, was involved in the Chakdara Fort incident and was imprisoned for seven years.
- Naik Muhammad, son of Nasrullah Jan, was incarcerated for nine years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Bannu Cantt incident.
- Fahad Imran, son of Muhammad Imran Shahid, was engaged in the ISI Office Faisalabad incident and was sentenced to nine years of severe jail.
- Sufayan Idrees, son of Idrees Ahmed, was incarcerated for two years in a strict jail for his involvement in the Rahwali Gate Gujaranwala incident.
- Raheem Ullah, son of Bait Ullah, engaged in the Bannu Cantt incident and was imprisoned for nine years.
- Khalid Nawaz, s/o Hamid Khan, was involved in the Bannu Cantt incident and was sentenced to nine years of hard labor.
“In accordance with the applicable laws, the trial of the accused under military custody on May 9th has been concluded.”
According to the military’s media wing, all prisoners were still entitled to appeals and other legal remedies, which are protected by the law and the Constitution.
