RAWALPINDI (Channel News): Security forces carried out effective operations in several locations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 19 terrorists, while three Army troops accepted martyrdom during an exchange of gunfire, according to ISPR.

According to the Pakistan Army’s information wing, the operations occurred on January 6th and 7th in three different areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the neutralisation of 19 terrorists.

Following intelligence inputs of terrorist activity, security forces launched an operation in Peshawar’s Matni region, efficiently targeting and removing militant hideouts, killing eight militants in the process.
Another effective operation was carried out in the Bazi region of Mohmand District, when security forces responded to intelligence and engaged terrorists in an exchange of fire, killing eight militants.

A third operation was carried out in Karak District, where security personnel killed three terrorists following an exchange of fire.

The ISPR statement also paid tribute to three brave soldiers who chose martyrdom during the fierce firefight: Lance Havildar Abbas Ali (38) of Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Naik Muhammad Nazir (37) of Skardu, Naik Muhammad Usman (37) of Ghizer, and Naik (37) of Attock, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

These troops shown extraordinary bravery and gave their life for the country.

The ISPR stated that operations will continue in the region to eliminate any remaining militants. The Pakistani security forces remain steadfast in their goal to destroy terrorism, and the sacrifices of these courageous warriors strengthen the country’s commitment to peace and security.
