NUSHKI (Channel News Pakistan) The banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) assaulted a Frontier Corps (FC) convoy on a highway in the Noshki area of Balochistan on Sunday, killing five persons, including three FC members, according to ISPR.
The military’s propaganda wing said that early in the morning, terrorists on Dalbandin Road in Noshki, Balochistan, carried out a suicide attack and an explosion on an FC convoy. Three FC troops and two civilians were killed in the heinous suicide attack.
38-year-old Havaldar Manzoor Ali from District Nawabshah, 39-year-old Havaldar Ali Bilawal from District Naseerabad, 34-year-old Naik Abdul Rahim from District Badin, civilian driver Jalaluddin from Quetta, and civilian driver Muhammad Naeem from District Kharan are among the personnel killed in the Nushki suicide attack, according to the ISPR statement.
According to the ISPR, security personnel killed three terrorists in addition to the suicide bomber during a rapid and successful counter operation.
The area was blocked off by security personnel, who are now working on a clearance operation. The operation will continue until the last terrorist is killed, and all terrorists’ escape routes have been stopped.
A rise in high-intensity strikes by banned groups in the province indicates that the BLA has been a key driver of terrorist activity in Pakistan in 2024, according to security reports.
Zafarullah Sumalani, the station house officer (SHO) for Noshki, had earlier stated that the explosion had killed five FC soldiers and injured at least twelve more. Evidence pointed to a suicide bomber crashing an explosives-laden car into the FC convoy, he said.
An emergency had been declared, and the injured were being taken to the FC Camp and Noshki Teaching Hospital. Given that a number of the injured were in serious condition, SHO Sumalani was concerned that the number of casualties would rise.
