KARACHI — Humaira Asghar Ali, a prominent performer and model, was discovered dead in an apartment in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Tuesday.

Syed Asad Raza, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Zone, confirmed the news to the media, stating that Ali’s body was discovered in an apartment in Ittehad Commercial Phase VI.

He claimed that Gizri police came to the flat at 3:15 p.m. to carry out a court order to evacuate it. But when no one answered their knocks, the cops burst the latch and entered, only to discover the actor had died. The late actor rented the property.

DIG Raza stated that first findings indicate the corpse is many days old, but the cause of death is unknown pending further examination. The body has been sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal reasons.

Meanwhile, Gizri police verified that a lady named Humaira, Asghar Ali’s 32-year-old daughter, was found dead in an apartment in Ittehad Commercial, DHA Phase 6.

The body, which is believed to be 15 days old, has been sent to the hospital for medico-legal procedures, and investigations are underway.

She was well-known for her outstanding performances in dramas such as Ehsan Faramosh and Guru, and she maintained a strong presence on social media.
