KARACHI: After a brief scorching period, Karachi was greeted with its first monsoon shower on Monday.
Earlier, Karachi Met Director Sardar Sarfaraz informed Geo News that the city’s first monsoon rains will arrive between July 15 and 17.
The director of the Met Office had predicted moderate rain in the city next week. During the first spell, he predicted that Karachi will receive 10-22 mm of rain.
Low winds hit the northwest Bay of Bengal on July 11 and humid monsoon winds would approach Pakistan via Gujrat, according to meteorological experts.
