Concerning pollution, the prime minister stated that Lahore was previously known as the “City of Gardens,” but that the city is now suffering from serious environmental devastation and pollution.
PM Imran Khan praised his administration, saying, “Despite all odds, we managed to finish one of the most challenging projects.”
The prime minister went on to say that “640 million trees have been planted in 60 years, and the PTI administration has planted one billion trees in five years.”
He stated that deforestation has an impact on the ecosystem, thus it is critical to grow trees since Pakistan faces a significant threat from global warming.
