In a letter to the coaches of the provincial teams, PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja declared that “those who would perform a decent job will stay, while others will go home.”
Raja, although criticising the coaches of the regional teams, sent a clear message to them about improving their performance, according to Express News.
According to the publication, during the virtual conference, the newly-appointed chairman voiced dissatisfaction with the work of the provincial team coaches and questioned the coaches’ involvement in squad selection.
The chairman insisted that everyone should work hard and rethink their plans in order to obtain better results from the players. “Many adjustments are being made to repair Pakistan cricket,” Raja added. “As a result, everyone will have to contribute appropriately.”
Coaches, on the other hand, are reportedly enraged by the board chairman’s “commanding tone,” and one of them has encouraged everyone to quit together. The idea, however, was met with instant opposition.
