DELHI: A Pakistani team has arrived in India to compete in the forthcoming Junior Hockey World Cup, which is set to begin on November 24.
According to reports, the Pakistan squad arrived here on Saturday afternoon and will go to Bhuvneshwar, where the competition will take held.
On Thursday, the national team of 23 was tested for COVID-19 in Lahore. Asad Abbas Shah, the team’s doctor, oversaw the tests. After the dismal results, the players and management were permitted to travel.
Pakistan will play warm-up games at the major event on November 21 and 22 against Chile and Canada, respectively. The Green Shirts’ first encounter in the major event will be against.
The Green Shirts will play their first match in the mega event against Germany on November 24.
