KARACHI: Following the incident involving the eviction of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy finalist teams from a local hotel, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja said on Thursday that an investigation has been launched.
A day earlier, the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Northern and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa finalists encountered a unique circumstance when the administrator of a nearby five-star hotel requested the cricketers to depart the hotel.
The PCB chairman told the media that the incident was brought to his attention yesterday night and that an inquiry is underway to determine why the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy semifinal teams were booted out of the local five-star hotel.
Raja shed insight on the PCB’s future ambitions, stating that the PCB has several plans and that in order to reach these targets, commercial planning is essential.
“We are planning to construct a clubhouse and five-star hotel in the empty land available around the stadium,” he said.
