LAHORE, Pakistan (Channel News) – Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, stated that he was pleased with the squad’s performance in 2021.

Captain Babar Azam reviewed 2021 in a special edition of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Podcast, in which Pakistan won Test series against South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Bangladesh, advanced to the semifinals of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup, and had mixed results in the six ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League One Day Internationals (ODIs).

Babar stated that we strived to provide our best effort in every game. Rizwan, Shaheen Shah, and Hassan Ali all performed admirably, he noted.

The skipper went on to say that winning the match against India was the most memorable event of 2021.

It should be noted that in 2021, Babar not only cemented his status as an inspiring leader in the making, but he also shown incredible consistency with the bat across all forms, scoring 416 runs in eight Tests, 405 runs in six ODIs, and 939 runs in 29 T20Is.
