ISLAMABAD – Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives and Chairman of the National Command Operation Center (NCOC), stated yesterday that the vaccination campaign had reached another major milestone.
“Crossing 100 million people who have received at least one dose out of these nearly 75 million are fully vaccinated,” he said in a tweet.
The minister went on to say that this does not mean that our work is done. He stated, “We need to keep the momentum going.”
Pakistan, on the other hand, has reported two more deaths in the last 24 hours caused by a novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 1,307,174. On Tuesday, the total number of fatalities in the United States had risen to 28,974.
According to the most recent National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) data, 1,467 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
In terms of fatalities, Punjab remains the worst-affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
There have been 488,608 confirmed coronavirus cases in Sindh, 448,479 in Punjab, 181,790 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 109,495 in Islamabad, 34,708 in Azad Kashmir, 33,661 in Balochistan, and 10,433 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has conducted 23,891,112 coronavirus tests to date, with 43,540 in the last 24 hours. In the country, 1,259,253 patients have recovered, with 615 in critical condition.
The positivity ratio for COVID-19 was 3.33 percent.
So far, 99,454,273 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine, with 310,114 receiving it in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 377,912 citizens received their second dose, bringing the total number of fully vaccinated citizens to 73,862,234 citizens.
The total number of doses administered has reached 162,115,885, with 706,192 administered in the last 24 hours.
