In Kabul on Saturday, a Pakistani team led by National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf met with Second Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi and acting Foreign Affairs Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

During the meeting, members of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce were also present.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are fraternal countries with historical, religious, and cultural links, according to the Afghan Deputy Prime Minister, and Kabul wants stronger relations with Pakistan based on mutual respect.

“Afghan territory will not be utilised against any neighbouring nation,” he stressed.

According to an Islamic Emirate spokeswoman, the group will also meet with other Islamic Emirate authorities.

“The Islamic Emirate had conversations on a variety of topics, including politics, commerce, the economy, transportation, and the expansion of bilateral ties,” said Inamullah Samangani, the Islamic Emirate’s deputy spokesperson.

Dr Moeed Yusuf met with acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to start off the tour, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, announced earlier on Twitter.
