KARACHI: Political wall chalking against the PPP-led Sindh government has been vandalised on the walls of Karachi’s recently opened Green Line BRT station, according to ARY News.

Political writings critical of the current Sindh government and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah were spray-painted on the walls of Nagan Chowrangi BRT station, according to reports.

Not just political statements, but even pan (beetle leaves) and gutka (smokeless tobacco) chewers have left their mark on the recently launched Green Line bus service’s many stations.

From January 10 to 10, the Green Line bus service was completely operating, with 80 buses covering a 21-kilometer route from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, 22 bus stops have been constructed.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail visited the bus service and asked that the vehicles and stations be kept clean. He responded, “This European-standard facility is for you, and you earned it.” “Do not spit paan or betel nut (chhalia) on this property.”

Stones were thrown at the newly-launched Green Line bus service in Karachi at several spots between the Surjani and Numaish sections of the city.
