Fire broke out in huts near Aziz Bhatti Park neighbourhood of Gulshan Iqbal in Karachi on Thursday night, killing four siblings, all of whom were minors.
After being notified, two fire trucks and rescue crews arrived on the scene and quickly put the fire out. According to fire department reports, the blaze entirely destroyed five cottages.
The deceased, ages 8 to 12, were named as Saima, Tayyaba, Farhan, and Kamran, according to rescue sources. Another of the family’s children was hurt in the event.
