RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz, 86, was released from the hospital on Sunday after undergoing a colonoscopy last week, according to a statement on official media from the royal court.

Saudi television aired a video clip of the monarch leaving King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah, where he had been hospitalised on the evening of May 7.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s de facto ruler, was seen in the video with his entourage.
