LAHORE – Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Sunday that the PTI and its supporters will protect the independence of the judiciary at all costs.

At a meeting with PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, the former prime minister reviewed the party’s strategy as well as the nation’s present political climate. Imran Khan emphasised the need of elections by claiming that the delay in holding them would be a breach of the constitution given the nation’s ongoing economic problems.

The PTI chairman said that the “imported administration” had been “targeting the judiciary to conceal the constitutional breach on their behalf.”

Khan criticised the administration for placing people in further hardship by ending public assistance programmes like the health card service. He said that since the poor are suffering as a result of the record-breaking inflation, the authorities are unable to even face the populace.

People have seen their actual faces, according to Imran Khan, therefore why are they trying to evade elections.

According to Shahbaz Gill, the party members support the PTI’s philosophy. In the approaching election, he said, “I request to offer at least ten percent tickets to ideological young from the party’s youth wing, ISF, and social media wing.”

He told Imran Khan to give preference to the party members who had stuck with the party through good times and bad.
