LAHORE — Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) alongside ten of his former MPs.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan met with former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi earlier today to discuss the merger of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) (PTI).
At the discussion, Mr Khan and Mr Elahi discussed the shared political alignment. The meeting was attended by PTI Secretary General Asad Umar and ten former PML-Q legislators and senior leaders.
Participants included Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Shujaat Nawaz, Abdullah Yousuf Warraich, Bao Rizwan, Sajid Bhatti, Ahsanul Haq, Muhammad Afzal, Bisma Chaudhry, and Khadija Umar Farooqi.
The conference was also attended by Moosa Elahi, Chaudhry Maqsood Sulehri, Khurram Munawar Manj, and Haji Umar Habib.
