FAISALABAD : Irfan Kausar, the district election commissioner, requested on Saturday that the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) conduct an investigation against Sikandar Sultan Raja, the chief election commissioner.

The DEC also requested a detailed list of the assets possessed by the CEC and his older son in a letter sent to the ECP secretary. The letter asked for information on CEC’s assets both before and after Mr. Raja was appointed election director.

Mr. Kausar, on the other hand, wanted information on the minutes of the DDWP meetings held in 2022 and 2023 as well as the money given to the PWD. Additionally, the applicant demanded information regarding the ECP officers’ seniority list from grades 17 to 21. He set a deadline of May 5
