During a meeting at the White House on Friday, U.S. President Joe Biden and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez emphasised their support for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia. The two also discussed immigration and defence cooperation.

In an Oval Office meeting, Biden declared, “Together we’re Supporting Ukraine,” and Sanchez directly attributed the conflict to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are behind Ukraine. Naturally, we strive for a permanent and equitable peace that abides by the fundamental values of the U.N. charter as well as international law, Sanchez added. There is an attacker and a victim in this conflict, and that aggressor is President Putin.
