According to officials, Senator Saifullah Niazi, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was taken into custody by the Islamabad Police on Sunday.

Unknown factors may have contributed to the PTI leader’s detention. The arrest of Senator Saifullah Niazi was verified by the Islamabad police, who also reported that he had been taken into prison. The senator was allegedly sent to an unidentified location after that.

This incident comes after the Punjab police recently detained former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rashid.

Regarding the cause of his detention, the authorities have not made any formal statements.
