LAHORE- The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) imprisoned 123 members after the party protested Imran Khan’s detention, and the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday ordered their release.

On a case brought by PTI leader Farrukh Habib, Justice Anwarul Haq of the LHC ruled that the government’s notice of their imprisonment was unlawful.

All of the people being held were political workers, Mr. Habib’s attorney informed the court during the hearing, pleading for their release.

The appeal contested the unlawful arrest of 123 PTI employees from Faisalabad, Farrukh Habib’s hometown.

After Mr. Khan was taken into custody by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Al-Qadir Trust case, violent demonstrations broke out in many locations throughout the nation. During the demonstrations, a number of public and private assets were destroyed.

Police initiated an effort to apprehend the persons responsible for the violence after the vandalism.
