Hasan Ali, a seasoned Pakistani fast bowler, suffered an injury while competing in the Twenty20 Blast competition in Birmingham.

Hasan Ali was warming up at the stadium when the event happened, soon before the first game between the Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire Vikings. His team, the Birmingham Bears, won by a score of 34 runs despite his absence.

Hasan Ali’s injury’s type and specifics have not been made public as of yet. Witnesses said that the Birmingham Bears personnel responded quickly to his needs, offering aid and lifting him off the ground.
Shaheen Afridi, a renowned fast bowler, Shan Masood, a dynamic left-handed opener, Shadab Khan, an all-rounder, Zafar Gohar, a left-arm spinner, Usama Mir, a leg-spinner, and up-and-coming players Haider Ali and Zaman Khan are among the renowned Pakistani cricketers competing in the competition. The nine-week event promises to be a thrilling talent exhibition.

Recently, Warwickshire County Cricket Club (CCC) and Hasan Ali agreed to a deal for the current season. He formerly played for Peshawar Zalmi in past seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), but more recently he has been a part of Islamabad United. Notably, Hasan Ali received the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 player of the tournament award, emphasising his great talent.

On May 20, an exciting double-header kicked off the 21st iteration of the T20 Blast event, currently known as the Vitality Blast, in Birmingham’s Edgbaston stadium. The Twenty20 Cup, the competition’s original name when it debuted as the first T20 league in June 2003, is run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The 18 county teams are split into North and South Groups, and the competition follows the same rules as last year.

NORTH GROUP: Worcestershire Rapids, Yorkshire Vikings, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northamptonshire Steelbacks, Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, and Notts Outlaws.

SOUTH GROUP: Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex Sharks, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires.
