According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, which is 223 km deep, was the source of the earthquake.
Around 10:52 am, tremors were reported across the nation in towns including Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat, Haripur, Malakand, Abbotabad, Mansehra, Mardan, Khanpur, Battagram, Muzaffarabad, Texlia, Pind Dadan Khan, Pasroor, and Chinab Nagar.
