On Monday, a federal capital anti-terrorism court deferred its decision on a bail plea submitted by former planning minister Asad Umar in the judicial complex attack case.

The verdict will be issued by the ATC judge tomorrow. Mr Umar’s counsel stated at today’s hearing that his client had not gone to the judicial complex on that day since he was attending a case in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

At one point, the court asked Prosecutor Adnan Ali if there had ever been a situation where the terrorist had arrived without firearms. “This is the first time a terrorist has arrived empty-handed,” he said.
