Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), decided on Tuesday not to testify before a joint investigation team (JIT) in charges relating to instances of violence and arson at Jinnah House (Corps Commander house) and Military Tower.
The JIT, led by DIG Kamran Adil, has called the former prime minister, whose party was rocked by mass resignations following the May 9 occurrences, for questioning today (Tuesday).
The Punjab government had already formed 10 separate JITs to probe cases relating to the May 9 occurrences, including Imran Khan’s role in lawsuits filed at Thana Sarwar Road, Shadman, Race Course, and other police stations.
