On Wednesday night, a Mianwali Express bogie derailed close to Faisalabad, injuring at least 10 persons.

Ten passengers suffered injuries when one of the train’s bogies derailed at Chak Jhumra, close to Faisalabad, according to sources from Pakistan Railways. When the tragedy happened, the Mianwali Express was travelling from Lahore to Mianwali. When rescue teams arrived, the wounded were taken to a hospital.

They said that the recent rains had damaged the train track, which was what actually caused the disaster. Authorities from the railways have announced that rescue efforts have begun and that the main track will shortly be restored.
