Jahangir Tareen, the unhappy leader of the PTI, launched a three-person committee on Tuesday to recruit defectors as he prepares to start a new political party.

Awn Chaudhry, Sardar Tanvir Ilyas, and Ishaq Khakwani will head a committee that invites PTI defectors to join Mr. Tareen’s political party.

On Tuesday, three PTI “Hashim Dogar group” members joined the political team of PTI dissident leader Jahangir Tareen. They are Rai Aslam, Mamoon Tarar, and Raja Yawar Kamal.

The group resolved to get in touch with influential KP members, such as former party leader Parvez Khattak. Fawad Chaudhry, a former senior vice president of the PTI, and Firdous Ashiq Awan had already met with Mr. Tareen.
