The hearing on the bail requests of former chief minister Parvez Elahi and Rai Mumtaz Hussain was postponed by an anti-corruption court on Wednesday till 2pm.

When the prosecution claimed it was contesting the choice to place Elahi on judicial detention, Senior Special Judge Ali Raza of the Anti-Corruption Court ordered the case to be postponed.

Rana Intezar, Elahi’s attorney, said that he had not been given information regarding the prosecution’s plea when the judge requested him to dispute it. At 2:00 pm, the court issued a new summons to the parties.
