Due to the illness of one of the bench members, the Supreme Court (Practise and Procedure) Act, 2023 case was postponed without any hearings on Thursday.

The court personnel stated that the hearing had been postponed indefinitely owing to a bench shortage.

The staff also stated that the administration had requested more time to evaluate the measure. Furthermore, the budget was scheduled to be delivered on June 9, delaying the assessment of the legislation.
