On Saturday, a federal court in Islamabad deferred its decision on a petition submitted by PTI leader Asad Umar for the confirmation of his bail in the case launched against him for breaching Section 144 in Islamabad.

After hearing arguments from the PTI leader’s counsel and the prosecution side, Judge Sikandar Khan reserved his decision. He stated that the outcome on the bail petition would be made public on June 19.

Mr Umar’s counsel stated that there was no evidence of his client’s participation at a PTI rally in the capital city’s F9 district. He said that Asad Umar was incorrectly mentioned in the lawsuit.
