Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), asserted on Tuesday that horse trade had started in Dubai before the Karachi mayoral election.

Jamaat-i-As the mayoral elections are set to take place on June 15 (Thursday), Hafiz Naeemur Rehman of Islami and Murtaza Wahab of the Pakistan Peoples Party are two of the leading candidates.

The former interior minister appeared to criticise the PPP in a series of tweets by declaring that the “cash group” will win the election.

The AML leader declared he will appeal the warrantless raids on his home to the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Police allegedly mistreated his staff and ruined his property, according to him.
